Galaxy S25 has received the 2025 Design for Recycling® Award, the highest honor for sustainable product design, from the Recycled Materials Association (ReMA), a leading industry organization dedicated to promoting recycling and circular innovation. This award recognizes Samsung’s innovative efforts to advance circularity and scale its use of recycled materials.

Samsung Electronics won the Responsible Business Award from the global media group Reuters for two consecutive years in 2020 and 2021. Galaxy Upcycling at Home won the Circular Transition Award in 2021, and Samsung Global Goals App won the SDG Impact Award in 2020.
Additionally, in 2024, Samsung Global Goals App won bronze in the “Partnership or Collaboration – Responsible Technology” category of the 4th annual Anthem Awards for advancing social impact through technology.
Our “Transforming Ghost Nets into Mobile Technology” campaign won in the Sustainability Campaign Sector at the 2023 Social Impact Awards organized by PRNEWS. Through this campaign, we accomplished our goal of applying recycled materials to all Galaxy devices launched in 2022 and reaffirmed our will to contribute to the preservation of marine ecosystems.

Presented by Sustainability, Environmental Achievement and Leadership (SEAL), a California-based NGO - in recognition of our application of materials recycled from discarded fishing nets to Galaxy products - the award is testament to our commitment to advancing sustainability and preserving the environment.
